Playing Career
Adine Wilson had an illustrious playing career in netball, representing both New Zealand and various club teams. Wilson represented the New Zealand national netball team, the Silver Ferns, for several years. She made her debut for the Silver Ferns in 1999 and went on to become one of the team’s key players. Notably, she was a part of the Silver Ferns squad that won the gold medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games held in Melbourne.
Club Career
In addition to her international career, Adine Wilson played in the Coca-Cola Cup/National Bank Cup, a premier netball league in New Zealand. She began her club career with the Otaga Rebels in 1998, and then signed with the Southern Sting in 2001. She proved to be an absolutely vital member of the Sting. During her six year tenure with the team, Wilson helped lead the Sting to five titles.
When the Southern Sting merged with the Otago Rebels at the formation of the ANZ Premiership in 2008, Wilson took a year off due to pregnancy. She returned for one final season with the Steel in 2009, before retiring, again pregnant.
